To Our Special Guests

The Sheraton Anchorage Hotel Catering Staff welcomes this opportunity to assist you in planning a perfect party or meeting. Although each event you plan with us will have specific details and requirements, the following information should serve as a guideline for your reference.

Menu Selection

Chef Peter Fontanez has designed the Catering menus below with great care with an eye on taste, appearance and variety. Your catering representative will assist you in all phases of menu selection, and will need a finalized menu at least three weeks in advance of your scheduled function to assure the availability of specified items.

There is no minimum number of guests required on our plated meals. However, minimums apply to Buffet Service. Should you have less guests and still require buffet service, we may be able to accommodate you albeit at an increased per person price.

Floor Plans and Room Arrangements

In addition to the selection of the menu, your catering representative will need advance notice of the style of the room arrangements for your function (rounds, conference, classroom, etc.) head table requirements, audio-visual plans, registration/ticket tables, entertainment staging requirements. Special lighting or audio-visual needs are available on request at an additional charge. The Hotel reserves the right to change space allocation dependent on final anticipated attendance.

Important Guarantee is Needed from You

A guarantee is required 3 business days in advance of your function. At that time, you must guarantee to the hotel the closest estimate of attendance, not subject to reduction, for which the hotel will charge you. The Hotel will provide seating for the guarantee. If no guarantee is received, the expected number of guests on your Banquet Event Order will be considered your guarantee.

Credit Information

Without exception, payment is advance of your function is required based on the number guaranteed to the catering office. To establish credit, the accounting office must receive a credit application at least three weeks in advance of your function. Payment is due and payable upon receipt of the billing statement on approved accounts. PLEASE NOTE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIRECT BILLING IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR FUNCTIONS WITH A MINIMUM ESTIMATED REVENUE OF $5000, AND IS DEPENDENT UPON APPROVAL BY THE ACCOUNTING OFFICE PREVIOUS TO YOUR EVENT.

Rental Charges

The room rental for your function is dependent on the scope of your food and beverage requirements, as well as the space required for hosting your events. The hotel, with notification, reserves the rights to revise function room assignments should attendance figures fluctuate.

Food and Beverage

It is the policy of the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel that no food or beverage will be brought in from outside sources. All food and beverage arrangements must be made through our Catering Department.

Beverage Service

We offer a complete selection of beverages to compliment your function. Please note that the Alaska State Alcohol Beverage Control Board regulates alcoholic beverage sales and service. The hotel, as a licensee, is responsible for administration of these regulations. Therefore, it is a policy that no liquor, wine or beer may be brought into the hotel from outside sources.

Tax and Gratuities

For the service of all personnel, a gratuity of 15% and 7% service charge of all food and beverage charges will be added to the account by the hotel. There is no sales tax in Anchorage .

Damages and Lost Items

The Sheraton Anchorage Hotel will not assume responsibility for damage to, or loss of any merchandise or article left in hotel. The organization or individual contracting with the hotel shall be responsible for loss or any damage done to the premises, including assigned function room (s) during the period of time the guests of agents of the individual or organization are occupying contracted premises.
